Tai Heulwen CIC is a social enterprise committed to establishing and developing a community-focused residential care home for children and young people in Merthyr Tydfil. With a strong belief that every child deserves safety, education, and positive experiences, Tai Heulwen aims to provide a nurturing environment for vulnerable children within their own communities.

Founded in 2023 by mothers of autistic children, Oaks Rise CIC is a neurodivergent-led alternative education and learning centre based in East Sussex. It was born out of the founder’s children’s shared experience of school-based trauma and mental health challenges that had left them disengaged from mainstream education.

Make CIC is a purpose-driven social enterprise based in Liverpool that creates vibrant spaces and community hubs where artists, makers, and small business owners can work, collaborate, and grow. Founded in 2012 by Kirsten Little and Liam Kelly, Make CIC was built on the belief that creativity, collaboration, and access to equipment can help people turn their passions into sustainable livelihoods. With three locations across Liverpool (North Docks, Huyton, and Birkenhead), Make CIC offers studio space, creative workshops, wellbeing programmes, and public art commissions, all designed to bring people together and support local talent.

Ultra Education CIC is a social enterprise founded by Julian Hall, with a mission to increase the life chances of children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through entrepreneurship. Based in London and operating nationally, Ultra Education delivers programmes in financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills across over 150 schools, reaching hundreds of young people weekly. Their work is supported by partnerships with organisations such as Innovate UK, Youth Futures Foundation, the Home Office, and various corporates including British Airways, Visa, and Warner Brothers. Their flagship events include youth business fairs, with the largest held at Wembley Stadium.

For You Training (FYT) was set up in 2017 and is now a well-established accredited training provider, based in Tain, in the north-east of Scotland. FYT was created in response to the steep decline in training and job opportunities in the area. Tain and the surrounding areas have faced significant challenges, including a halving of the local high school roll in the last decade and persistent youth outmigration due to limited local prospects. Through this training, FYT aims to create opportunities for young people, raise the profile and support the future of food & drink, increase employability rates and thereby reduce rural depopulation.

Community Ventures is focused on assisting and strengthening local communities in the East Middlesbrough areas of Thorntree and North Ormesby, both of which are in the 10% most deprived neighbourhoods in England. After setting up in 1989, their work is crucial to strengthening their community and run a number of activities including food provision, early years and youth programmes, affordable housing, employability and crisis support.
