We exist to support SME businesses and social enterprises through flexible finance.

Alongside being accredited by the the British Business Bank and able to offer CBILS, Business Enterprise Fund also offer their lending to social enterprises and charities via the Community Investment Enterprise Facility (CIEF).

As a Responsible Finance Provider, we lend with a social purpose; helping businesses throughout the UK to thrive and grow when other lenders can't fully assist.

Established in 2004 and based in Yorkshire, our operating model is aligned with supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We're motivated by seeing change in communities across the North of England by the investments we make to local businesses and social enterprises and our lending has helped create or safeguard over 3,000 jobs, contributing over £125m to the region's economy.
